Announcing 2016 camp dates in honor of our very first birthday!

We can't believe that today marks one whole year since we officially incorporated in the state of Massachusetts! Time really does fly when you're having fun. We have accomplished so much in just a year and want to highlight some of the biggest milestones we've achieved to date:

In February, we received 501(c)(3) tax-exemption status, making all donations to Camp Casco officially tax-exempt, in the quickest turnaround our lawyer had ever seen!

In April, we provided our first fundraising gala, bringing in more than $6,000 in donations and tens of thousands in in-kind donations from generous local businesses.

In May, we were selected as a Finalist team in the 2015 MassChallenge Accelerator Program - a huge honor for a brand new organization.

In July, we reached our $50,000 fundraising goal to provide our camp free-of-cost, just a few months after receiving our official tax exemption status!

In August, we provided our first-ever week of camp to 13 childhood cancer patients and survivors at the YMCA Berkshire Outdoor Center in Becket, Massachusetts. If you haven't already, check out our camp slideshow to see for yourself what an incredible week it was!

Finally, in very exciting news, in September, we kicked off plans for our second year of camp, which will take place once again at the YMCA Berkshire Outdoor Center, August 22-27, 2016! Send us a message if you'd like to be notified when applications for volunteers and campers become available in January 2016!

Of course, that means we need your help! It costs $1800 to send one child to camp for the week, or $300 a day. Please consider making a donation to help us bring 28 kids to Camp Casco in 2016! Donate now, or learn more about other ways to give! Even $5 makes a difference.

A huge thank you to all who have helped us on our journey to creating a free Massachusetts-based summer camp for kids who have been diagnosed with cancer! Whether you've given time, money, or simply moral support, we couldn't have done it without you.

Love,
Camp Casco
