SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES
Our Camp Planning Committee is seeking an individual interested in helping plan, organize, and execute our annual week-long day camp for childhood cancer patients and survivors in July 2020.
You will be responsible for working with your fellow Co-Director to plan logistics, train and welcome camp volunteers, and enroll campers. You will directly oversee the rest of the Day Camp Leadership Team throughout planning and execution, helping our team meet internal deadlines and stay on track throughout the year in partnership with your Co-Director and Program Director. Most importantly, you will get the unique opportunity to help create and lead an incredible day camp for childhood cancer patients and survivors.
The successful candidate should possess the following core skills:
Experience providing childcare
Strong communication skills
Effective and supportive management style
Creativity and resourcefulness
Other preferred, but not required, skills:
Experience working with special-needs populations
REQUIREMENTS & COMMITMENT
Applicants should be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check, and have at least two seasons of previous experience at a recreational camp for children. Applicants must be able to commit to help with this role through the execution of the camp week in July 2020. Most volunteer work can be done remotely throughout the year, but applicants must be able to commit to attending every day of the week-long day camp in early July 2020 (7 day in-person commitment).
