Day Camp Medical Director

SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES

Our Camp Planning Committee is seeking an individual interested in helping plan, organize, and execute our annual week-long day camp for childhood cancer patients and survivors in July 2019. You will be responsible for working with with the Camp Director and Camp Administrator over the next year to plan camp logistics, recruit and train volunteers, and enroll campers. You will plan and organize our camp "Med Shed", ensure every child receives medications and any necessary medical care throughout the week of camp, and oversee fellow medical volunteers during the week of day camp. Best of all, you will get the unique opportunity to help create and run a day camp for childhood cancer patients and survivors.

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, pass a background check, and be a licensed healthcare provider in the state of Massachusetts. Applicants must be able to commit to help with this role through the execution of the camp week in July 2019. Most volunteer work can be done remotely throughout the year, but applicants must be able to commit to attending every day of the week-long day camp in July 2019.

Other preferred skills:

  • Experience in pediatrics


REQUIREMENTS & COMMITMENT

Applicants must be at least 21 years of age, and pass a background check. Applicants must be able to commit to help with this role through the execution of the camp week in July 2019. Most volunteer work can be done remotely throughout the year, but applicants must be able to commit to the entire week-long day camp in July (Sunday June 30 through Friday July 5). Applicants must be licensed to practice in MA.
