Family Event Manager

SCOPE OF JOB DUTIES

Our Family Outreach Committee is seeking an individual interested in helping plan, organize, and execute fun family events for childhood cancer patients and survivors throughout the year. You will be responsible for working directly with the Family Outreach Director to plan event logistics, collect and organize supplies, and promote events in the community. You will get the unique opportunity to reunite our camp families throughout the year and nourish friendships initially formed at our overnight camp!

Applicants must be at least 18 years of age & pass a background check.
 

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must possess the following core skills:

  • Experience (paid or unpaid) in a childcare setting

  • Responsible and communicative

  • Organized

  • Effective and supportive management style

  • Creative and resourceful

  • Good problem-solver


Other preferred skills:

  • Experience working with special-needs populations

 

REQUIREMENTS & COMMITMENT

Applicants should be willing to commit between 3-4 hours per week. Most volunteer work can be done remotely throughout the year, but applicants who are based in Massachusetts and can physically attend the event they plan are strongly preferred.
