Marketing Manager


Our Marketing Committee is seeking an individual interested in volunteering to develop and execute marketing strategy geared toward our prospective and existing donors, in collaboration with our Marketing Director and Marketing Manager. You will oversee a small group of volunteer Graphic Designers and Social Media Assistants to market to donors through email newsletters, social media, and press releases.

You will report directly to our Marketing Director, and will be supported by our Marketing Manager, Social Media Assistants and Graphic Designers. You'll be expected to meet virtually one to two times per month with regular communication via email and Asana. Hours are very flexible, entirely virtual (no in-person commitment), and an average of 6-8 hours per week is preferred for this position. You should also be able to work well remotely, both independently and as a team member.


The successful candidate must possess the following core skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Previous marketing experience

  • Ability to know the audience‚Äôs needs, wants and problems and ability to address them successfully

  • Outgoing and creative

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Superior time management skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication

  • Ability to guide and lead a small group of volunteers

Specialized skills:

  • Previous experience with camps, cancer, fundraising, and/or nonprofit marketing is preferred.
