Social Media Coordinator


Our Marketing Committee is seeking an individual interested in volunteering to contribute content to align with our social media strategy in coordination with our social media manger and coordinator to take on additional projects if desired. Applicants should have a comprehensive understanding of child cancer and family awareness.

You will be responsible for contributing to our monthly social media outline with content geared towards but not limited to our donors, event attendees, campers and their families as well as prospects. You need to have the ability to come up with original, relevant and timely topics for social media in relation to our organization's mission and goals.

Committee members are supported by the Director of Marketing, however this position will report directly to the Social Media Manager. and meet virtually one to two times per month with daily communication via Slack and Trello. Hours are very flexible, and a minimum of 4 hours per week is preferred for this position.


The successful candidate must possess the following core skills:

  • Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills

  • Previous social media content writing

  • Ability to know the audience’s needs, wants and problems and able to address them successfully

  • Outgoing and creative

  • Excellent attention to detail

  • Ability to develop solid content and engagement strategy

  • Practices superior time management skills

Specialized skills:

Knowledge from cancer research or family awareness. Previous experience with health awareness in Marketing is preferred.
