Camper Check-In at One Mission’s Sibling Retreat

We know that the first day of camp can be both exciting and nerve-racking. To help prepare you and your camper, this post will go over what to expect on the first day of camp.

But First, A Few Reminders…

  • Camp dates: July 11-14 at Berkshire Lake Camp in Hinsdale, MA

  • If you are driving to camp: check-in is from 1:00-2:00PM at Berkshire Lake Camp (pick-up is from 1:00-2:00PM on Friday, July 14th at the same location).

  • If your child is taking the bus to camp: check-in is from 9:30-10:30AM at Memorial School in Medfield, MA (pick-up is from 5:00-6:00PM on Friday, July 14th at the same location).

  • Please be sure to update your child's Health History form with any medications they will be bringing to camp. This form can be accessed through the Parent Portal. Check-in will go much faster if you update this ahead of time.

What to expect at Day 1 drop-off:

  • Please do not get out of your vehicle when you arrive!

  • We will be providing rapid antigen tests upon arrival (whether that is to the bus site or to the campsite). .A Camp Casco volunteer will greet you at your car and provide you with a rapid antigen test.

  • A Camp Casco medical volunteer will meet you at your vehicle while we await the covid test results, and will go over your child's health records. We will confirm any medications your child is bringing, allergies, dietary restrictions, and general care notes.

  • Once they have been checked in by a Medical Volunteer, and their covid test comes back negative, they may exit the vehicle and join their fellow campers!

  • If your child is taking the bus, volunteers will provide entertainment for the campers leading up to bus departure. If your child is fully checked in, you do not need to stay until the bus departs.
